The UConn Marching Band is the recipient of the 2008 Husky Pride Award as a part of the 2008 Student Leader Recognition Week. Students across campus are nominated by their peers, faculty and staff. The Husky Pride Award honors a student organization for outstanding external representation of the pride and spirit associated with being a part of the University of Connecticut. |

"UCMB exudes pride and brings spirit to the university community. UCMB performs on and off campus for thousands of fans and University supporters. UCMB provides entertainment at athletic games, university events, various parades, and charity events. Marching band members put in countless hours to perfect the performances that we all enjoy."

-The deadline that Membership Forms must be submitted by was July 1, 2007. |
Each summer, the UCMB holds Band Council/ Section Leader Meetings to prepare for the coming season. This year, the dates and locations are as follows:
- Saturday, June 16, South Windsor, CT. 11AM ~ 3PM.
- Saturday, July 14, Wallingford, CT. 11AM ~ 3PM.
- Saturday, August 11, Andover, CT. 11AM ~ 3PM. (Directions) |

The Color Guard and Percussion sections will also be meeting for summer development and rehearsal sessions at the UConn Music Department on:
- Saturday, June 30, Storrs, 9AM ~ 3PM.
- Saturday, July 28, Storrs, 9AM ~ 3PM.
- Sunday, August 12, Storrs, 9AM ~ 3PM.
