Trisha’s UCMBlog

Friday night was UConn’s Homecoming game versus Louisville, and of course it just had to rain. Not only did it rain, but it down pored right when we were ready to perform.
Everyone was pretty unsure what the out come of the game was going to be. A lot of people believed that UConn was not going to come out victorious, but I had a feeling we would. We got to the field and couldn’t even practice because of the weather and had to eat our dinner on the bus. Then we performed Pre-Game (in the rain), and stood in the stands where thank God it didn’t rain.
I was really relieved that we ended up scoring during the last half and went on to winning. That just made performing post show in the rain that much better.
This week we are getting ready to finish our show. Finally we’re learning Sing Sing Sing and we’re putting it on the field. The Color Guard has also finally finished learning all of our work, and we’re pretty excited about that.
This Saturday we have a game versus USF and an exhibition performance at the New England Championships. It’s going to be a lot of fun. One of my favorite parts about being in the UCMB is performing for high school marching bands.
Hope everyone has a good week, and maybe we’ll see you this weekend.
